Children and Youth Program

Program3Available positions:

  • Nursery – 0 through 3 years olds
  • 4’s & 5’s – 4 and 5 year olds
  • Kids Klub – 1st through 3rd graders
  • K2 – 4th and 5th graders
  • Mid Kids – middle school
  • Youth – high school
  • Floater/Floater Supervisor
  • Floater/Photographer
  • Floater/Charis Kids
  • Floater/College Age

Pay:  Salary plus room and board (dormitory).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team of teachers to lead lessons and activities during morning and evening sessions.
  • Teach and supervise up to 35 children or youth during sessions.
  • Lead music, games, bible lessons, tell stories, lead crafts, as delegated.
  • Participate in skits and announcements as needed.
  • Keep meeting area attractive, clean and orderly.
  • Program2Wear staff uniform to all meetings and staff-sponsored activities.
  • Participate in planning and public relations during family events (weekly sand sculpture contest and carnival).
  • Responsible to complete some afternoon and evening babysitting assignments.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing an outing activity.
  • Responsible to complete weekly kitchen serving duties (approx. 45-90 minutes) and weekly accommodations (housekeeping) duty assignments (approx. 4 hours)
  • Be available to do whatever is necessary to meet the needs of the children and provide a quality program.

Qualifications:

  • Prior child education training and/or experience preferred and a desire to work with children or youth.
  • At least 18 years of age (Nursery through K2) and we prefer people to be 21 or older to work with Mid Kids and Youth.
  • Ability to work well in a team format.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in supporting the needs of a the ministry with an emphasis on serving children and families.
  • Strong desire to be part of this ministry as a way of life, not just a place of employment.
  • A clean criminal history check.
  • All other qualifications of full time employment with Cannon Beach Conference Center.
